Planning a trip is always fun, but tossing in a destination event or festival will turn any vacation up a notch. Check out these exciting summer events in Sisters, OR and make plans today to attend.
Arts and culture fans will enjoy this annual event—the Home & Garden Tour from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on July 11 in the Sisters area. Held during the Quilter’s Affair week of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, it always has great interest. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Chamber of Commerce website.
Another festival-type event going on at the same time as Sisters Annual Quilt Show is the Sisters Artist Marketplace. This free Friday/Saturday event (July 12-13 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.) offers a variety of arts, crafts, antiques, a beer and wine garden, food and entertainment.
A non-profit organization, Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show is on a mission to educate and inspire folks about quilting while benefitting the school and community groups in the Sisters area. Grown from a proud teacher who once hung a dozen quilts made by her students outside her quilt shop on a Saturday in July, this annual event is now the largest quilt show in the world! This year the event, held in downtown Sisters, is on July 13 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and welcomes all ages to participate.
Downtown Sisters will host the “Glory Daze” Car Show on July 20 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.in downtown Sisters. Bring the family to enjoy music and lots of cars from vintage to foreign, pickups and more.
Sisters Rhythm & Brews Festival
July 26-27 is a fun, two-day music event under the shady pines of the Village Green Park. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Come and hear talent the likes of Larkin Poe, The White Buffalo, Eric Gales and more! Find bios for the performers, ticket prices and more information on the event website.
The Wild West Show in downtown Sisters takes place on August 17-18 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and is free to the public. Enjoy a variety of arts and crafts, as well as nine western skits with a western façade town and demonstrations.
This brew fest of sorts is a favorite for visitors and locals. Held at Creekside Park on Aug. 24 from 12-6 p.m., the event is a fundraiser for the Sisters Park and Recreation District and the Kiwanis Club of Sisters. Sip on brews from some 30 taps—the best homebrews in the region. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door. Once inside, you are welcome to sample as much as you’d like as long as supplies last. (Keep in mind that alcohol must be consumed responsibly, and patrons will be cut off at the server’s discretion.)
Downtown Sisters is the home of the Fall Street Festival from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Aug. 31. A free event, guests can expect arts and crafts, antiques, food, a beer and wine garden, entertainment and a special fundraiser benefitting a charity TBA.
Sisters Folk Festival is Sept. 6-8 (5-10 p.m. on the 6th, 12-10 p.m. on the 7th and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on the 8th) in downtown Sisters. With 11 acts on 50 stages, be prepared for live entertainment galore! Come and experience how this festival enriches lives through innovative music and arts education programming. All ages are welcome.
