In Sisters, the search for stress-free sweets is over. It’s thanks to Angeline’s Bakery, a Sisters staple that specializes in tasty treats that are healthy for both people and the planet. From decadent desserts to fresh lunch fare, all of their selections are vegan, gluten-free, responsibly sourced, and full of flavor.

The bakery began in 1996, when Angelina Rhett bought the downtown location after a year of selling her sweets from a small wooden wagon. Although the building has changed throughout the years, the heart of the bakery has not. Angeline and her staff remain committed to serving delicious selections that are made from scratch using the finest natural ingredients. They even use compostable containers and donate their day-old pastries to the local food bank, spreading sweetness throughout the Sisters community. 

Inside, you’ll find display cases packed with pastries, scones, and muffins, each available in whole grain or gluten-free options. They also offer toasty bagels that are baked fresh each morning in a variety of tasty flavors. Of course, their healthy desserts don’t sacrifice any sweetness, with fresh favorites like gluten-free cupcakes and cookies, tart lemon bars, and hand-rolled rice crispy treats. 

But it’s not all sweets and treats. They bring some bolder breakfast fare, such as a burrito filled with roasted potato black bean hash, scrambled eggs, melty cheese, and savory salsa. They even offer fresh lunch favorites with a healthy spin, such as a roasted veggie rice bowl or soup-and-salad combo. 

If you don’t have time for a bite, be sure to stop in to sample one of the bakery’s specialty beverages. They offer a range of tasty ways to quench your thirst, including gourmet teas and coffees, fresh organic juices, and handmade smoothies loaded with natural health supplements.
