Head to Smith Rock State Park and choose from close to 2,000 routes that range in difficulty to test your skills (and your nerve) as you scale steep volcanic climbs and crumbly basalt columns. Even the lower heights are staggering, so be sure to sign up for their guided services if you’re new to the sport. 

Whitewater Rafting. There’s no better way to beat the heat than with a wild whitewater rafting adventure!
