The 47th Annual Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show

It’s never hard to craft a good time in Sisters, Oregon, but it’s especially easy on the second Saturday in July. That’s when the city hosts the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, a famous annual festival that celebrates the art, skill and heritage of traditional and contemporary quilts and fiber arts. But we aren’t talking about your grandma’s knitting circle – this city-wide event is a fun family extravaganza that’s internationally recognized as the largest outdoor quilt show in the world. And as the 47th anniversary of this beloved community event, the 2022 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show is guaranteed to be the best – and biggest – show yet. 

The 2022 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show will be held on July 9, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. That morning, visitors will flock to downtown Sisters to take in the unique sight of city streets, fences, railings and building faces adorned with more than 1,300 colorful quilts in all styles and sizes. The town truly becomes a stage, and you’ll have front-row seats in walking distance if you choose to stay in one of our convenient downtown rentals!

For a full day of quilting fun, attendees can also enjoy artist-led workshops, various art demonstrations, live entertainment, quilt auctions and raffles, and other fun family activities throughout the downtown district. You can visit some of the city’s best-loved quilt shops, stock up on new supplies, and purchase a handmade quilt to take home with you. Stitch it all together for a true representation of the Sisters spirit! 

 The 2022 theme is “Community”, and the show promises to celebrate the town, people, artists, and volunteers that come together to create the city’s rich culture and community. Admission is free for all ages, and a portion of all event proceeds will benefit SOQS, a non-profit organization that produces the annual quilt show and other fiber arts activities throughout the year.
