4 Summer Events You Can’t Miss on a Last-Minute Vacation

Every Sunday from June to October, the Sisters Farmers Market sets up in Fir Street Park for a day of delicious local shopping and fun. Visitors can browse stands of fresh local produce, artisanal goods, pantry staples, arts and crafts, premium meats, and other market wares. It’s a fun way to get a taste of the local culture and support small businesses, farmers, and makers from the Sisters area. 

4th Friday Art Walks

Downtown Sisters

During the summer, 4th Friday Art Walks offer a bright adventure through the art galleries and businesses of downtown Sisters. Stroll through gallery displays, browse boutique shops, attend artist talks, and visit local restaurants to enjoy SIsters culture one shop at a time. 

Kids Day at Black Butte Ranch

Wednesdays, June – August 2023

Black Butte Ranch Fire Department

On Wednesdays at 10 a.m., head to Black Butte Ranch to introduce your littles to the world of first responders. Kids can meet the firemen and police officers, tour the fire station, check out the trucks and police equipment, and earn junior badges they can take home. You’ll even get to put out a simulated house fire! (Safely, of course.) 

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show

Downtown Sisters

The largest outdoor quilt show in the world is now in its 48th year. On July 8th, the city of Sisters will be covered in more than 1,000 colorful quilts in a variety of styles and stitches. Beginning at 9 a.m., visitors can stroll through the streets viewing original quilts, vote in quilt contests and enter raffles to win works of art. Admission is free and all purchases benefit Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, a non-profit organization that promotes quilting and fiber arts throughout the year.
